Encryption

IBackup uses industry standard 256-bit AES encryption for data transfer and storage.

You can opt for any one of the following options while creating your account or logging into your account for the first time:

1. Default Encryption

2. Private Key Encryption (known only to you)

Note: Once the encryption key is set for your account, it cannot be changed.

WARNING: IBackup does not store your private encryption key on its servers. It is recommended that you archive it safely to backup and restore your data. However, if you choose Default Encryption, you need not remember it.
